ASDEPO Project Sector
In Afar Region ASDEPO has been working on
Responding to Gender-Based Violence (GBV) to Conflict Affected IDP’s and Host Communities in Gelalu, Gewane, Haruka, Awash, Amibara woredas of Zone 3 Afar Region with UNOCHA/EHF for one year. The project has reached 18,675 beneficiaries.
Promoting peaceful coexistence among Afar- Issa communities through promoting traditional conflict resolution mechanisms in Sitti Zone (Somali & Zone 3 in Afar) with IRI for 9 month. The project has reached 500,000 beneficiaries.
ASDEPO is implementing CP projects integrated with GBV; As GBV services are severely lacking in humanitarian responses. ASDEPO and other frontline agencies provide lifesaving services to support survivors of CP, including services through child friendly spaces, case management and referrals, psychosocial support, and staff capacity building on CP and awareness rising on child protection to access services without fear of violence or intimidation.
